Best styling hacks for women you need to elevate your looks

We are now in the era of wearing vs styling. This has greatly affected how we consume fashion. It is no longer which brand or outfit but how you wear it.

Below are my go-to styling hacks to make you step out feeling like a million bucks.

Add scarves to your outfits

I used to shop for scarves as an afterthought. Asides religious reasons, why else do I need them. Now, I realize you add a scarf to your look to elevate it. You can wear it as a neckerchief, as a head scarf or as a sarong.

Also, you can create a whole new outfit with your scarves. Check out my post on how to wear scarves several ways for exciting new ways to use your scarves.

On all my summer vacations, a scarf is a travel essential to enable me serve looks.

You need belts

If you follow me on my channel, you will know that I am belt obsessed. Adding a belt to your outfit makes it eat down. It gives your body a smooth figure and makes you look taller. Also, it is a great accessory for every lady.

I know many ladies see bags and shoes as the only needed accessory. However, a good belt option will help you elevate your looks. There are several options from Loewe peplum belts, statement buckle belts, thin belts or dress belts. You need several fashion belts for women to pull off your looks.

I highly recommend you shop for at least a thin belt or waist belt. These options are versatile. You can wear it with your dresses, skirts or pants. I love to add belts to my dress pants that have the hoops already. It looks bare without it.

Size up in your outfits

My personal style is all about old money aesthetics and chic looks. So, I always shop for my size or tailor it to fit.

The relaxed fit era has shown me that I can still look chic when I size up. I always avoid shopping for oversized outfits but size up by one looks cute. One of the best style hacks for women that look expensive is to go one size up.

I am looking at this option for a pin stripe pant suit set. This suit set is on my wish list, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. It is a fun way to look timeless yet chic.

Monochrome Neutral lookbook

Okay, I don’t want to bore you with the old money looks or minimalism. However, this look makes you look rich. The neutral tones like beige, black, grey, white etc. If you are a minimalist, you can check my post on how to wear the old money looks like the rich lady you are.

Monochrome outfits are super clean. I liken this to the clean girl aesthetic that is TikTok viral. IYKYK, right. My favorite monochrome looks are navy blue, all white and all brown looks. These are super cute looks.

If you don’t know what to wear, go for an all-black look or an all-pastel blue look. Monochrome looks are not just for neutrals. However, neutral monochrome looks gives you old money looks.

Accessorize with Jewelry

Like I said, many of us do not know the power of accessorizing. My favorite jewelry to wear is anything gold. Gold jewelry is super chic and fun. This is perfect for dark skin due to our yellow under tone.

Yet, any skin type can wear gold and look chic. Gold is likened with wealth. Even my daughter’s name is Gold as it connotes wealth. That doesn’t mean that silver jewelry is bad. No, but gold jewelry makes you look rich.

I am still on the hunt to shop for pure gold jewelry. What puts me off now is the fact that I cannot identify real gold jewelry. I don’t mean no tarnish but pure gold jewelry. Any tip will be highly appreciated.

Accessorize your looks with jewelry, gold or silver. Style your outfit with necklaces (layered or not), bracelets, anklets etc. You can also check out my post on the hottest jewelry trends for 2024. My favorite is a chunky bracelet. I have my eyes on some cute bracelets that are super cute. Gold of course

Don’t forget to wear sunglasses

My least favorite accessory is sunglass. If it were up to me sunglasses would not be in this world. Yet, I love it on someone else. I rarely wear my reading glasses as I find them uncomfortable.

Anyway, sunglasses are super chic and fun. You look like money when you finish your look with the perfect sunglasses. I highly recommend you shop for black sunglasses. Preferably a large frame sunglass. It is chic.

I wrote an extensive blog post on tips for finding the right sunglasses for you. My favorite sunglasses are ombre or brown tint glasses. Black sunglasses don’t suit me. I hope my tips will help you shop for the right sunglasses for you.

Styling hacks for women: Shop for silk outfits

Silk is used simultaneously with wealth and riches. Soft yet chic and beautiful. I love a cute silk blazer. Since I saw it in an interview, I can’t wait to have mine.

A silk scarf or silk skirt is super chic. I also have my eye on a silk or satin skirt but don’t like the color I found. Silk is warm on the skin and cool. You will look like you own the world even if your bank balance says otherwise.
