As the year is coming to a close, so am I looking out for 2025 fashion trends. Shopping for trends is not advisable if you’re trying to build a classic wardrobe. Here are my top timeless fashion trends that never go out of style to buy RN.
Did you follow the runway and the recent fashion week? You will already have an idea of what is in and what’s out. One thing i am sure of us that mini bags are out of style and big clutches are in. Another trend that is out of style is closed toe heels and it’s been replaced by open to heels.
Just like with every trend, it is cyclical. But these timeless fashion trends never go out of style no matter what. Let’s dive into this round up this.

Lately I am all about shopping for classic pieces into my closet. Trends are fickle and before you know it , poof its out.
Why spend so much to catch up with trends for it to last just 1 season and at most 2 seasons? That’s not wise way to spend. Also, you cannot figure out your personal style if you’re shopping mostly trendy pieces.
You will notice that after a while you stare at your closet and have nothing to wear. So, let me share with you these timeless fashion trends that never goes out style to help you build a functional wardrobe that works.
Pearl necklaces or earrings
I used to feel only elderly ladies wear pearls. Most pictures of the late queen Elizabeth and some British royals shows them adorned in pearls. So, I just attributed it to the elderly.
Anyhoo, pearls are the most timeless fashion trends you need to have in your closet. You can style it with any piece in your closet. It is easy to dress it up or down.
Another things about pearls is that you don’t have to worry about mixing metals or what goes with what. An all black outfit looks good paired with a white or pastel pink pearls. You can wear pearls as a wedding guest or as part of your bridal wears.
That is so much you can do with pearls. So, yeah, get it for an elevated old money aesthetic look whenever you step out.

Little white/black dress
A fashion must have of all time is a little black dress. Why do fashion people say a little black dress is a must have? This is because it is a no brained outfit to style
It is a complete outfit on its own. All you need a pair of shoes and a bag to go about your day. Since I don’t mess with black, I added a little white dress to the list. I have been on the hunt for the perfect little white dress for a while now.
I got one recently and I hate it. It a red trim on the neck and waist line which took out of the look. With a little white dress, you can dress it up for work or dress it down for casual outing. Although white may be high maintenance yet if is super chic to style.
Denim Jacket
Denim jacket is another timeless fashion trend that never go out of style. There are several variations of denim jackets but I only recommend these two.
A dark wash denim jacket or a light wash blue denim jackets. These two variations are staple pieces to add to your closet.
I have an army green denim jacket that I hate. Girl, whenever i want to style it, it takes so much brain cells. This color is picky with my closet, so I don’t recommend you shop for colourful denim. Especially if your goal is to build a functional wardrobe that works.
Leather tote bags
If you’re an ardent reader of trendsenstylez, you know how I feel about tote bags. Tote bags are not just timeless but practical bags every lady needs.
The emphasis is on leather tote bags. This type of tote bag will last in your closet. You can opt for black, brown, camel or beige leather tote bags. For me, I prefer brown leather tote bags as it works well with my closet.
Loafers/ Ballet flats
Heels are great for an elegant look. But they are not practical to work in for so long. Also, not everyone can walk effectively in heels.
This takes me back to my early fashion days when I struggle to strut in heels. I always take it off as soon as I get to my desk.
Anyway, timeless flats that never go out of style are ballet flats and Loafers. I have always loved ballet flats before it went viral in 2023. It is dainty and feminine pair of flat. On the other hand, I stay clear of loafers. I felt it was dated.
Girl, loafers never go out of style. It never left though I don’t wear them. If you need classic pairs of flats that are timeless, get you a pair of loafers and ballet flats. Thank me later.
Cashmere sweater
I started paying attention to cashmere sweater when I piqued interest in Old money aesthetics. This type of sweater is soft, cozy and warm. Particularly, in brown or stripe (black and white), love it.

Shoulder bags
Another classic bag trends that never go out of style is shoulder bags. It is a classic bag to own. I had two classic yet chic shoulder bags from Petite Simone on amazon.
This bag brand on Amazon is my go to for shoulder bags. They offer several colors. However, I will recommend you shop for classic colors like black, white, grey or brown. These handbag colors never go out of style.

Vintage sunglasses
I will sound like i am a sunglasses girl. Really don’t like anything on my face asides makeup. But girl you been atleast one of vintage sunglasses.

If you’re into vintage designer sunglasses check out the realreal or fashionphile. They a great selection of vintage designer sunglasses. But if you don’t mind name brand or not, go to thrift stores or shop reputable online thrift stores.

I almost forgot to add a white button down shirt to this list. What is a timeless wardrobe without a white button down shirt?
I finally found myself a white button shirt which I can’t get enough of. A white button down is a wardrobe must have for every lady. You can dress it up or down. Also, you can wear it anywhere work or play. As an airport outfit, you can layer it with cardigan. And as a beach wear, you can wear it with your Bikini set.
You cannot build a classic and timeless wardrobe without a white button-down shirt.
