This year, I have been hopping from my one runway show to the another. The last one was lagos fashion week 2025 that took my breath away. So, I was excited to attend GT fashion weekend 2025. Did you miss the runway shows?
If you missed it, oops sorry. I have an amazing time with my younger sibling. For the first time in my life, I was on the front row. Yea don’t talk to me girl. Spin hair away. Let me stop joking around and talk about the street style looks and the runway moment that I had.
GT bank did their big one. Every one of us felt so important. Plus, we were treated to some popcorn and dominos ice cream. Still dreaming about it though.
There were so many cute streets style moment that stole my heart. While some of the street style looks were trying so hard to be naked. No shade or simply extra. I am here to share with you the classic fashion styles that works.

GT Fashion weekend 2025
I only attended one day of the show. And my heart is so full. To enjoy GT fashion weekend, I highly recommend you attend the master classes. There you get the in-depth knowledge on how to launch your career in fashion or the business of fashion.
As a creator myself, I have learnt so much from such master classes. So, I will encourage you to be a part of it. The evening is researched for the runway shows. There you get to see the new creations of your favorite Nigerian designer brands and get to meet new ones. In fact, you get to meet some fashion designers outside Nigeria. Some from Africa and others from the diaspora.
Then if you love to get some of your favorite fashion brands, you will find them at the arena. From clothes to shoes, Ankara print piece, perfumes, scented candles and skincare brands for a lush skin. Well, if you know me, you know that I am obsessed with skincare. And my newest obsession is Korean skincare brands.
Any who, GT fashion weekend is indeed packed, and I love every moment of it.

What is GT fashion weekend without the runway shows? Why leave my house when I will sit it out? That’s not happening for me. The runway moment were everything.
My favorite shows on day 1 are the presentations by Sevon and the brand called Bam collective. These two designers have a lot to say in their craftmanship and designs.
Sevon pieces were very artsy and well thought out. If you love Schiaparelli, you will love Sevon. I am not sure I caught the name of his collection. But I will say it has an Arabic touch to his pieces. Some of them giving the vibe of Ethiopian or any Arab style. The glitz and glamour were everything. The appliques and embellishment were everything.
Bam collective on the other hand was quirky and fashion forward in its designs. The unique take to some of the designs that got my all through the year made it more refreshing and fun. Like if you love maximalist fashion trends, you will love this brand. The vibrant colors and color clashing looks were up my alley.
I already have a piece in mind from this collection that I love. Plus, I will say though, the choice of fabrics shows that this designer has a great taste. If your designs are chic but the fabric says cheap, it is a huge turn off for me. The two-piece set with a green and yellow color block moment is top on my Wishlist, fingers crossed.

Okay I may have lied a little. I was also sniffing for cool street style looks that fashion girlies wore. I know right. What is fashion weekend without what the girlies are wearing on the streets of Lagos.
Lagos is the hub of entertainment and fashion. And I must tell you that the fashion girlies are not sleeping on their fashions. My eyes were everywhere. Checking out one look or another.
Like I said earlier, some of the looks were meh. However, you can tell that the Gen Zs are on their A-game when it comes to their fashion. From short shorts to micro miniskirts, to wings as an extra touch to looks. I saw it all.
