The biggest fashion moment in history the Metgala just took place and we are here for it. The theme of this year’s met gala is “Fashion is art”. And as usual there are several interpretations of it. In this blog post, I will be sharing the best dressed and the worst dressed Met gala 2026 red carpet looks.

I am always excited about the Metgala. This is because the fashion is always on point. Celebrity put in so much effort to look their best. Well, some celebrities though. Sometimes, I wonder whether some celebrities didn’t the memo in time. Or they simply didn’t get the theme for the year.

Anywho, let’s talk about the Best dressed looks and the worst dressed looks at the Met gala 2026 red carpet.

I know many of us are emotional when it comes to our faves. I also have a fave too. My favorite celebrity is Doechi. I love her hands down. Her journey to get the big break is something i can relate too. She built her brand from the ground up. With hardwork, dedication, she is just my mentor.

However, for this year’s met gala looks, I am not excited about her looks. And I wonder why we fans sometimes remove morality when it comes to our favorite stars. This begs the question, why? Why do we allow whatever when it comes to our celebrities? Any way, let get into the best and worst dressed celebrities at Met gala 2026 red carpet.

These celebrities are by far the worst dressed celebrities at the 2026 Met gala. Their looks were horrendous to watch. Although most were in theme, they took the art in fashion to the extreme. And the one that hurt me most is the look by Heidi of project runway. Like really, I do watch her shred designer when the make horrible outfits in the name of couture or fashion. Her look were underwhelming to put it nicely.

Now let’s get into these worst dressed celebrities at the Met gala 2026 red carpet. Some of these looks makes me want to cry. Janae Monae is another celebrity that I always look forward to seeing her red carpet looks. Talk about delivering back-to-back on the red carpet in 2025. All her looks were a hot, from the actor’s guild to the grammy’s award 2025, her looks were well thought out and executed to the T. Why did Csiriano do this to her? Even if she forced him to do it, he should have said no!

Can you guess who is under this custume? I would have argued that Heidi cannot wear such a look to the red carpet. Talk more, “the met gala”. Like how? Well, that her in a custume that looks just like the statues in venice, Italy. This look made my eyes water. She took “fashion is art” to another level.

The love I have for Cardi B, unconditional. Who care what they say about her? I love her to sticthes but, Why? Why this look? Last year met gala, she gave us a run for our money. Like the girl was chic and look so fine. Whoever, her stylist is for this look has to be fired ASAP!

I just got to know Emma from this year’s met gala. What a way to get to know her? Her outfit really stood out for me. However, I am not impressed. Her team may think they did justice to this look but trust me, it was flop. The look feels over designed. The tail of the dress is giving “tree root that is painted with several colors? WTF

Katy Perry on the other hand looks like the outfit wore her. The structure of the outfit didn’t do anything for her figure. It looks a white skirt with an apron looking top attached to the look. The tail looks like an afterthought attached to the dress. And what is with the mask?

Lisa’s outfit would have been so fun. She is giving an Egyptian or Arab goddess. But her design team wanted so bad to add the “art” to the look and decided to attach a horrible looking robotic hand to spoil her look. The extra hands attached was unnecessary. She should have just ditched and give us fashion and leave the art out.

In as much as so many celebrities chose to dress in a way that is off theme. There are still some hits. When they said fashion is art? They delivered and left no crumbs. Now let’s get into these looks.

Anok Yai is a fashion girl that I love to see on the red carpet. Her look is my top favorite looks after the Micheal kors outfit worn by Anne. This look though black has some shape and structure that makes a little black dress very appealing. Many celebrities opt for black because it takes no brain cells to wear. However, Anok made black an elevated outfit to wear.

Anne is a fashion girl through and through. She is that celebrity that like to dress in way that is chic. I bet she is not such that will opt for a horrible dress in the name of ambassadorship or being dressed by a big-name brand. She totally ate up this look by Michael kors.

Black lively looks at the Met gala 2026 red carpet is one of my top favorites. I love the choice of colors that blends well together. She is giving cottage core in an elevated way. Love this look a lot.

Zendaya’s is a queen of red carpet and I am here for it. She is always giving us the fashions. She made the theme “fashion is art” what it is fashionable art. I love everything about her look.

Sequins but make it tasteful. Yass! I am here for it. I love this dress on Chase. Because of this look, I will go follow her on Instagram. Her team did a good job putting her in this dress. Love it down.
