Is quiet luxury dead? Yes and no. I will say that quiet luxury is just in the back burner but not dead. Quiet luxury for me is like Old money aesthetic. You look clean, with minimal logo. A babe can literarily be wearing expensive outfits yet look chic and clean. I typically equate quiet luxury with clean girl aesthetic. What do you think?

Maximalist fashion style: How to wear it in 2025
Maximalist fashion is all about more is more. Contrary to the preaching of quiet luxury, the bold the better. As a maximalist myself, I love to rock the bold colors, mix and match prints and patterns and break a few fashion rules.
One of the easiest ways to rock maximalist fashion style is through color blocking. Color blocking of outfits is super cool and fun. And you don’t have to be too bold like a fashion influencer. You can start with mixing two complimentary colors on the color wheel. For example, red and pink. These two colors are a great cohesive look yet is seen as color blocking.
Now let’s dive into how to wear maximalist fashion style in 2025.
Stand out in sequins
Have you wondered why the festive seasons is all about the shine that sequins offer? Girl, sequins are the maximalist fashion play thing. If you want to step out why not go big or go home. One of the easiest ways to wear maximalist fashion style is to wear sequins.
Sequins is typically attributed to festivities or events. But you can wear sequins for your say look too. I shared in a previous blog post on how to wear sequins casually which you should check out. On the market for some fun sequin pieces, I link some below.
Let your accessories do the talking
If you’re a minimalist that wants to just dip a toe into maximalist fashion style. One of the cool ways to do it is to wear statement accessories. Accessories can elevate any look without hassle. If you have been an ardent reader of this blog, you know the importance of elevated accessories.
A simple all black or white look can be elevated with a zebra print boot, Stripe tote bag or a fringe boot. Mix prints and patterns
Another fun way to wear maximalist fashion style is to mix prints and patterns. Prints you say? Yes, I know it can be dicey to style prints yet it not so difficult to pull off.

Another easy way to wear prints is to pair them with solid colors. This I highly recommend if you’re just starting out.
However, if you love to experiment with fashion I would say, wear your leopard prints with polka dot prints. You can work with different sizes of polka dots. Also, you can style your stripes with another animal print like leopard, zebra or snake print.
Color blocking outfits
As I stated earlier in this blog post, what is maximalism without color blocking. How I love to color block? Some of my favorite color blocks of all time include yellow and green, yellow and orange combo and red and orange. These combos eat down.
One of easiest ways to find easy color block outfit ideas is through Pinterest. I love the pink and purple color block. However, I don’t have any purple outfit in my closet. I recently pass on a cool lavender jumpsuit because it will not work with my existing closet.
