Olumirin Waterfalls

trendsenstylez

Erin Ijesha waterfall (also known as Olumirin) is the most popular waterfall in Nigeria. Although, there so many waterfalls in Nigeria, Erin Ijesha is the most visited. It is a seven-step waterfall. The first three steps are quite easy to access. However, the rest steps up to the 7th step is for the brave. I stopped my hiking at the 2nd step. ( I just can’t continue further). Most people do go to the 7th step but they have to walk on all fours.

The path upward is so steep and meanders. Hiking to the last step (7th) leads to a small village Abake village (in Ekiti state). So, if you’re looking for a hiking experience in Nigeria, definitely visit Erin Ijesha waterfall. I love the relaxing shower from the waterfall. We all know the perks of traveling through Nigerian roads are the roadside foods you can buy. However, I am not a fan of their famous dodokire, plantain chips, or Gala.
