There are so many talks about opting for dupes vs Designers. Which is right for you, designer vs dupes? Personally, I will say both are fine. It is sometimes not advisable to walk around in or with designers pieces. As it opens you to potential theft. But this depends o where you live.
I love designer brands. So, I do shop them. However, I am unable to justify paying so much for a designer brand vs the dupes. In as much as I love to shop dupes, I detest counterfeits. What are counterfeits? Counterfeits pose to be the real designer with the logos and are offered at cheaper prices. How can you authenticated designer pieces that are not bought from the brand stores or verified brands like farfetch, matches fashion and Maison de fashion. I get it if you don’t want to invest in designers. Just I said earlier, I sometimes opt for dupes. My thought process sometimes is to try the dupes first then buy the actual designer brand. Also, I can just chose to dupe some pieces because I cannot justify these designer prices. Especially with the recent spike in prices for all designer brands as well as high street brands like ASOS, Mango, HM and shein.

Designer vs dupes
Designer vs dupes, which is better? Would you rather dupe it than buy the designer? I would recommend both especially if you can afford it. However, if you need a simple broke girl guide, then shop dupes instead.
Dupes gives you a feel of the designer brands. Sometimes the dupes are better or cuter. Although, designer brands are obviously of greater quality. Also, we shop designer for the prestige. The great quality of luxury brands makes it valuable that you can pass on for generations.
There are some luxury brands I’d rather dupe. Also, I would rather dupe jewelry or clothing of designer brands except for Tiffany which holds it value over time. For me I cannot justify the price tag on the famous loewe tank top or the brooches. I feel I can get a dupe that will me the same feel like the designer brands.
However, my top luxury brand that I will never dupe is hermes birkin or its picotin bag. I am obviously an hermes girly and I am gradually putting my coin together to shop them.
In as much as I cannot say you should dupe luxury or buy them expressly. The decision depends on what you can afford and How much you’re willing to spend.

If you’re just getting into luxury, start with cute scarves. Although, I would stay start with bags if you can afford it. You don’t have to pay full price for luxury pieces.
