Lately, my screen time has been on a high because I’ve been neck deep into the hottest 2026 fashion trends that have taken over the internet for Spring/Summer 2026. I’ve been deep in runway clips, TikTok edits, and Pinterest boards for weeks, but I regret nothing because these trends are pure serotonin.
So, let’s talk about what’s hot, what’s everywhere, and what I’ve personally tried and loved.

Hottest 2026 fashion trends that has us in a choke hold
I just a few minutes scrolling through the web for the hottest new trends to look out for. And I must I am excited for the new year. Most of the 2026 fashion trends for summer are up my alley. From fun color clashing moments which my sister said I did too much. But how does one do too much when you love it so much to feathers and fringes.
I love the fringe details on accessories. Like the fun cowboy boot with boots that were perfect for the Beyonce cowboy carter concert earlier this. Also, I love fringe handbags, and I can manage fringe coats in suede. Asides that I am not into a fan of fringe. Now let’s talk about the hottest 2026 fashion trends that everyone loves.
Color Clashing (Color blocking)
I don’t know about you, but I’m super ready for colours in 2026. After seasons of muted tones, Spring/Summer 2026 is shouting with hues. According to trend reports, we’re seeing bold, joyful shades like lemon yellow, fiery red, and intense turquoise taking centre stage. And one in particular: “Capri blue” (a rich cerulean-turquoise) has been dubbed the new “It” colour.
The other day, I pulled out a cobalt-turquoise blouse and paired it with chocolate brown trousers, and I immediately felt elevated. The internet loves a statement colour piece, so pick one item in a bold shade and let the rest of your outfit play it chill.
Trust me, colour is a mood. Designers are leaning in to joy and optimism, and these saturated hues reflect that. It’s like fashion’s saying: yes, we had serious times, now let’s dress like we believe in good things.

Last week, I found a sheer blouse in my wardrobe and layered it with a nice camisole underneath over my favourite jeans. You could go full transparent dress, or just add sheer sleeves, sheer panels, or even sheer boots if you’re a fashion risk-taker.
It allows for sensuality and styling creativity. You’re not just hiding or revealing, you’re layering in texture, subtle drama, and surprise.
Balance is your best friend here. If your top is sheer, maybe your bottom isn’t. Or go sheer skirt + solid top. And don’t forget that undergarments or layers matter. Sheer can feel chic or tricky; you decide the vibe.
80s Revival
I felt it in my bones that the ’80s are back.I’m talking big shoulders, strong tailoring, retro fits, power shapes, and all the drama with a modern twist. I’m also talking about roomy trousers, wide shapes, and elongated silhouettes.
I tried a cropped blazer with big shoulders last weekend and felt like I could close a billion-dollar deal and dance all night. There’s just something about sharp tailoring that instantly boosts your confidence.
You don’t need full shoulder pads from head to toe (unless you want to). But I’d recommend that you try a blazer, a dress with padded shoulders, or even a coat where the silhouette is strongly defined. Pair with minimal accessories to keep the focus on the shape.

Curious? This trend might be my favorite as it’s all about mixing tough and tender.
Now imagine pairing cargo pants with lace tops, military jackets over flowy dresses,or combat boots with satin skirts. It’s the perfect contrast of strength and softness.
I wore a khaki utility jacket with a white lace slip dress the other day, and the combo just hit. I felt feminine but fierce. It was like a fairy joined the army (in a good way).
To pull it off, start with one utilitarian piece (cargo pants, khaki vest, structured bag) and pair it with something delicate (like chiffon, ruffles, or sheer layers). The balance makes it magic.
Drop waist
Since the re-introduction of Y2K trends, low waist or drop waist has been on the radar. Brands like Michael kors hopped on this trend with an array of drop waist dresses. I am not a fan of anything low waist. I will most certainly die on the hill of high waist. High waisted skirts or pants are my jam.
However, this is not about me or what I want. I will most certainly rock drop waist dresses because, why not? Drop waist will be one of the hottest 2026 fashion trends for summer whether I agree or not.
Silk scarves accessories
Silk scarves are a huge for spring summer 2025. I have always been a fan of accessorizing with silk scarves. Making them into fun stylish hacks that eats.

Ripped jeans
Omg, I have never been so gagged about a trend making a comeback. Yes, I love ripped jeans as it says stylish when you step out. Many don’t know how to pull off ripped jeans. And others go crazy with ripped jeans that it looks tacky when they step out. But I love it to be ripped but not crazy ripped.
So, yes, I am excited about this trend. However, I pray the ladies will not wear it messy and distasteful. It will really drive me nuts. But I am excited anyways.
Fringe/ Featheers
Fringe was huge in 2025. It was one of the hottest 2025 fashion trends out there. And it is still going strong for 2026. This is the type of trend I love to hop on. Because I can wear it for years and years to come.
I have once said on the blog that I hate jumping on trends. It seems wasteful to hop every trend as it is fickle. And I am not a fan of looking like everyone else out there. That similarity and lack of individualism in fashion makes it super boring. Any who, I love am excited to know that feathers will be huge in 2026. Fringes may be the accessories but feathers in anything is my jam.
I remember one year when I shared feathers outfit from a red carpet on my Instagram. Gosh the Internet went crazy as per usual. Many hated the look. They even said the lady celebrity looked like chicken. It made me giggle. If you don’t get feathers don’t hop on it. Just stick to fringe and not too much.
