One of the hottest 2025 fashion trends that I love right now is Boho chic styles. I never knew that this will be my cup of tea. However, Chloe did a very good of reviving this fashion trend that I’d rather pass on years ago. Look at me now.
On the other news, I am all in for wide leg pants whether it is trendy or not. I know this year is all about tailored pants, but I love both equally. Did I tell you that I am excited that capris are over and dead? This 2024 fashion trend almost gave me a heart attack. To me Capris should die just like Mesh shoes which the fashion houses are pushing for 2025. Anyhoo, let’s get into the 2025 fashion trends we will be wearing at Trendsenstylez.

2025 fashion trends that are worth it
I used to read articles from whowhatwear talk about this a lot. Fashion trends that are retiring and those that are replacing them. But for me, I want to talk about it in another perspective. Hence, we are talking about 2025 fashion trends that are worth it and other we’ll pass on this year. Now let’s dive right in.
Ditching Capris; Buying Tailored shorts instead
I would rather wear leggings than opt for Capris. This is a fashion faux pas for me. Why do you look like cropped leggings? Anyhoo, the girlies went crazy for it last year. But for, I opted for my bermuda shorts instead. Tailored shorts are a summer staple to have in your closet.
It is simple to style. You don’t need any brain cells to style your tailored short. It goes literally with everything in your closet. So, why waste my time on capris. Tailored shorts are hot in 2025 and I am here for it.
Ditching structured handbags; Buying hobo style handbags
If you have not been following my handbag review, what are you doing. I just did a roundup of the hottest 2025 handbag trends that everyone will be wearing. So, do well to catch up.
Anyway, last year, we were all about slouchy handbags. No wonder, this year 2025, this all the girls want to hear about and wear. Hobo style handbags is in theme with boho chic styles that is hot in 2025.
I am all about hobo handbags. Brands like Michael Kors, COS, &Otherstories and AliExpress have several options you can think of. So, yes, if you need to get on the train, by all means. Don’t miss this.
Ditching Mesh flats; Buying Ballet flats
Fashion is cyclical and I am here for it. However, reviving mesh shoes for 2025 is not what I expected. Mesh is my least favorite summer shoe trend. It is quite comfortable and breezy. But I’d rather go for ballet flats.
Don’t get me wrong, who doesn’t like a comfortable pair of shoes. However, the corporate baddie in me will rather die on the hill of ballet flat. Peace out.
Ditching Barrel leg jeans; Relaxed fit jeans
Who invented the barrel leg jeans? No matter how the brands and influencers sell this style of pants, I’ll pass. God! really. The style of barrel jeans is not my cup of tea. The fit for me is not okay.
Maybe because I love old money aesthetic. Also, I can do with an edge or two for my jeans. But not barrel jeans. So, yes, I will be opting for relaxed fit denims over barrel jeans.
Skipping Zebra prints; wearing Leopard prints instead
This year, animal prints has been hot like no other. From the street style look at New York fashion week to the Epic runway shows, animal prints are having a moment.
I have a good cow print or zebra print. However, this year I will wearing my leopard prints more. Leopard print is a fun print that never goes out of style. It is a fun neutral to pair with your staple basic. So, yea, I am here for leopard prints that are cool and fun.
Embracing Maximalism; ditching minimalism
My personal style is kind of in between. I love to look chic. Hence the old money style. Also, I love to be extra too. So, I will say I am both with my full chest.
This year it is all about the maximalist style. The animal prints, hot fur coats, vibrant colors and unexpected pairings. Since quiet luxury died a painful death in 2023, we now want to dress up more. Not just dress up but be seen, hence maximalism. Maximalism is back and better. From simple personality accessories from colorful fedora hats to fun brooches with human figures or body parts. I still don’t know how I feel about this, but Schiaparelli makes it work.

I know I love to talk about this trends real time so you will be informed. Yet, I don’t jump on every moving train. Factors I consider include my personal style, the style trends time frame. Will it be fickle like Capris or will it transcend the trends like Leopard prints? That is just my thought process.
Also, did I mention how it will work for me? When I shop, I think about how much use I will get from it. You know, it is weird to buy stuff and keep it for the aesthetic of it all. In as much as mesh shoes are in for 2025, I’d rather skip on it. I love ballet flats as it fits into my lifestyle. Also, a good pair of wedge heels will serve me more than a pair of mesh flats.
