10 things every fashion girl should pack in a carryon handbag

I like to describe my carryon handbag as a lifesaver when travelling, because it has certain essentials that make me comfortable while on a trip. Some people may say I’m putting too much in my carryon handbag. But I can’t do without these things every fashion girl should pack in a carryon bag or handbag.

Wondering the things I pack? I will talk about them in this article. These are items that are both functional and stylish, allowing me to stay fabulous on the go!

Things every fashion girl should pack in a Carryon

Here are 10 things every fashion girl should always pack in a carryon handbag:

Passport and Travel Document

First and foremost, your passport and travel documents are the most important items. Therefore, they classify as items that should be on in your carryon handbag.

You need to keep them organised in a chic passport holder or wallet that also has slots for boarding passes, ID cards, and any other essential documents. This not only keeps you organised but also adds a touch of style to your travel routine.

I always love to get all those cute passport covers that get the mood upbeat. I’m a strong believer that my passport holder can determine the outcome of my trip.

Miniature Beauty Kit

If you’re a fashion girl, I’m sure you understand the importance of looking fresh and radiant, even after a long flight. Therefore, it is necessary to pack a miniature beauty kit in your carryon handbag.

In this kit, you should pack a miniature beauty kit that includes travel-sized versions of your favourite skincare products. These could be a hydrating face mist, moisturiser, lip balm, and a compact mirror. Of course, never to be caught unfresh! Importantly, you shouldn’t forget to also pack a mini hairbrush or comb so that your hair stays on fleek.

Makeup Essentials

If you’re going to be on a long flight, I would recommend packing some makeup essentials in your carryon handbag. While you don’t need your entire makeup collection, putting bits from it in your carryon can be helpful.

I would recommend including a tinted moisturiser or foundation stick, mascara, versatile eyeshadow palette, dual-ended brow pencil, favourite lipstick or lip gloss, etc. These are some products I would recommend, but you should tweak it as you please. It is important to choose products that are easy to apply and can quickly refresh your look.

Portable Charger

I can’t even imagine travelling without my portable chargers as staying connected is important. If my devices are not always powered up, how would I be in touch with my loved ones?

For this reason, I always ensure to have a portable charger in my carryon handbag. I also ensure to pack other tech accessories like a universal adapter, earbuds or headphone, and charging cables.

One thing about me is that I never fail to maintain my steeze while at it. So, I opt for stylish pouches or cases to keep everything organised.

Sunglasses

What’s a fashion girl without her sunglasses? I can’t imagine how my trip would be without my sunglasses! Not only do they protect my eyes from the sun, but they also add an instant touch of glamour to any outfit.

I’m one fashion girl who would always shop for new sunglasses at every opportunity. So, I ensure that there would always be a pair in my carryon handbag. In fact, I always have more than a pair in my bag at every instance. I have written about the best summer sunglasses for women that is viral this year. You will definitely love my selection. Scarf or Pashmina

A lightweight scarf or pashmina is a versatile accessory that can serve multiple purposes, and you need to own one as a fashion girl. While on the plane, the scarf or pashmina can keep you warm.

I also love that it can add a pop of colour to any outfit. There is a certain sense of elegance that comes with adding a scarf to your outfit and gives a commanding aura. When shopping for a scarf or pashmina, you should go for a high-quality fabric that feels luxurious and can be easily folded into your bag.

Notebook and Pen

I don’t know about you, but I love to keep myself busy while on a plane. So, you would always see a notebook and pen in my carryon handbag. I could use them for jotting down ideas, doodling, or keeping track of my travel itinerary.

While getting a pen and notebook, go for the stylish ones; don’t get the regular ones. These stylish ones have a way of elevating your mood. Also, choose a compact notebook that fits perfectly into your carryon handbag.

One of my favourite things to do is to create puzzles and use them as conversation starters on the plane. I’ve made meaningful friendships through this.

Snacks and Hydration

Snacks are also items that should be in a carryon handbag. So, I always have healthy snacks and a reusable water bottle to keep my energy up. I’m a fan of nutritious snacks like nuts, dried fruit, or granola bars.

Hand Sanitizer and Wipes

As a fashion girl, you also have to be a clean girl. So, you should have a travel-sized hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes to keep your hands and surfaces clean as maintaining hygiene is more important than ever.

I would generally advise choosing products with a pleasant scent and gentle formula to avoid skin irritation. This helps ensure that you have a comfortable trip.

Comfortable Footwear

While your main luggage might contain several pairs of shoes, having a pair of comfortable flats or slip-on shoes in your carry-on is wise. These can be easily swapped with your heels or more cumbersome footwear, especially during long flights or walks through the airport.

I remember one flight where we landed, and our luggage couldn’t arrive until the next day. Fortunately, I had some comfortable footwear in my carryon luggage and I didn’t panic as much as others did.

Bonus: Books or Kindle

One of my favorite things to while travelling is to read. I am so much afraid of heights, so I don’t enjoy looking out the window while travelling. So, the best way to take mind away is read books.

Currently I am reading a book on teach yourself MBA. It is laughable as I have a master’s in Business Administration. Learning is forever, I guess. Reading a book is a great to keep your mind busy. It is perfect to kill the time while on a long layover.
